If I should choose one thing that I will never forget, maybe I cannot stand to one moment because for me every time that I spent in Thailand was so marvellous. The good habit of Thai people will make me remember Thailand well. Before I went to Thailand, I was a lazy woman who never did exercise such as jogging, playing badminton even though only stretching. Usually, I just maintain my health by fasting regularly because a woman doing exercise it’s not common in my country, but it changed when I lived in Thailand. I always spend my time doing some exercise like jogging in the afternoon after my class, walking from my apartment to campus, and playing badminton on the weekend. It’s so awesome for me, my bodyweight also decreased significantly from 55 to 51 kg and stable as long as I lived there. And I am not embarrassed when I join fun run and train myself to prepare for that activity because the majority of Thai people also do that, every week they have fun run, marathon events with various categories. Can you imagine any older people so excited when joining a running competition? Thailand shows it. When in my country the people feel proud if they wear the branded clothes, in Thailand the citizen exposes their running jersey collection. I never saw a woman lecture in my Indonesia campus who had a habit for doing exercise regularly but in Thailand I always meet some lectures including the head department of my program cycled by her bicycling around of campus every afternoon.
Besides that, I am also impressed by the fruit seller attitude in Thailand. Usually in my country when I want to buy some fruits the seller will promote the product as the best product even when we bought it. The characteristic was so contrasted with their telling and made us disappointed. In Thailand, when I want to buy the fruit commonly the seller will explain the strength and the weakness of the fruit. They will tell if the Durian is not ripe enough or the quality is not good because during the rainy season, this mango is sour or plain so not too sweet. One day I bought the orange because my youngest son forced us to buy it and the seller like usual told us about the fruit condition. “This orange is sour that is not sweet” the seller said but my son still begs us so we bought only a few. This behaviour makes us comfortable to buy anything there and have a strong trust in the seller. It should be a good lesson for our life to be a better person.
